Doctor, Doctor...

I got a bad case of loving you...
Yep it's the bag style of the season and whilst they look super chic on the catwalk my only concern on catching a ride on the 'doctor tote wagon' was how to incorporate it into my style.  So here's an idea on what I'd wear, a kind of transeasonal look too with all this weird weather and I love the crop down boots with the silver embellishment, a definite item on this week's wish list!

Space Cowboy

A little Monday afternoon pick me up and dream wish list on this miserable day! I'm working on Net-a-Porter's trend presentation for F/W at the moment and am loving the Futuristic trend seen at Proenza, Wang and Hakaan.  The above is my little twist on the trend.  By adding the A-mazing cowboy boots from Isabel Marant's new collection the outfit is less 'Beam me up Scotty' and more urban and wearable - I'm not about to go out in a mirrored visor or crystal embellished eyebrows a la Chanel!  To keep it cool and laid back go for metallics with the crinkle effect leather like this Acne clutch, then the look doesn't become too shiny and new but more relaxed and edgy (just a little tip!)
1. Silver leather bag £190 Acne at net-a-porter.com
2. leather and suede boots, pre order at net-a-porter
3. White accetate watch $150 Nixon
4. Trousers soon to be at TRF Zara
5. Black leather cross belt £14 Topshop
6.White leather jacket £239 Studio at Zara

Sunday's Wishlist

My debit card would be quaking in it's little plastic boots if it could see this post!  This time it's all about the details.  The slippers are my absolute favourite (and the main reason for all the quaking!) The heels have crystals set into them and added to the velvet and brocade they just purr 'take me home'!  And believe me if I could I most definitely would - is it illegal to sell a kidney for shoes do you think? The ear cuff is fortunately a little more within my price range as is the bag.  I love the aztec feel to the cuff which would add a great edge to even the chicest of outfits, I'd flick al my hair over to one side a la Erin Wasson and show this bad boy off for all to see.  And finally the bag. Again it's all in the details, the cut off corner takes this bag from everyday to unique and so subtly, I love it.  The interior holds yet more treats with grey and tan lining edged with non green zippers and tags.  There's more to all these pieces then meets the eye, and that's what makes them so desirable.
If you want to take a closer look then you can visit the sites below.
1. Miu Miu slippers, £420 from net-a-porter.com

Saddle Up

When I was little I absolutely loved Calamity Jane. I think I identified with her because of her, well...calamities!  (I was, and still am, a tad bit clumsy!)  And even now I find her an appealing character, not because of her rootin tootin storylines but due unwittingly to her fashion sense!  And it seems I'm not alone,  A/W shows brought with them the come back of the Wild West in the form of Miss Marant's tassles, prairie shirts and new take on the cowboy boot. So above for your viewing pleasure is how I've interpreted the micro trend for the modern day Calamity Jane.
Look to your horses - we ride at dawn!
